28 Years. $35 Million. One Goal: Your Funding.
For nearly three decades, I've helped schools, nonprofits, and community organizations find the funding they need to do the work they were built to do. Grant writing isn't just my profession — it's my specialty, and it has been since 1994.
Beyond the numbers, I am deeply committed to mission‑driven work. I believe strong funding partnerships create real, measurable impact — expanding opportunity, strengthening communities, and helping organizations sustain the work that truly matters.
CAREER STORY
I began my career at Hudson County Community College, where I built grant management systems from the ground up and administered more than $2 million in annual Perkins funding. That foundation set the tone for everything that followed: detailed, disciplined, and always in service of the mission. From there, I moved to the Hoboken School District in New Jersey, where over eight years I secured $18 million in government grants — funding that touched thousands of students through expanded academic programs, technology infrastructure, and student support services.Concurrently, I led grant writing for the Hudson County Consortium, a five-district partnership that included community college and four-year college partners, securing more than $9 million in state educational funding. I then brought that expertise to the nonprofit world as Director of Grants at Variety – The Children's Charity, where I raised $4 million in foundation funding through strategic prospecting, funder cultivation, and high-impact storytelling. I've also worked with Broward College, where I simultaneously analyzed and edited 22 active grant projects — achieving 100% federal compliance across the entire portfolio. Since 2000, I have run my own independent grant writing and research practice, serving educational institutions, nonprofits, veterans' organizations, and private-sector clients across the country. I bring the same rigor and commitment to every engagement — whether I'm writing a single proposal or managing a full grant calendar.
WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK WITH ME
I manage the entire process, from identifying the right funders to writing the proposal to handling post-award compliance. You won't need to chase me for updates or wonder what's happening. I stay organized, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly — because your time is as valuable as your mission.
WHO I WORK WITH BEST
My clients are organizations that are serious about securing funding and ready to invest in the process. I work best with nonprofits, K–12 schools, colleges and universities, and community organizations that have a clear mission and want a seasoned partner to help them tell that story to funders
CLOSING / PERSONAL NOTE
I'm based in Philadelphia, and I work with clients across the country. If you're ready to talk about your funding goals, I'd love to hear about your organization.
